Day 1: Casablanca airport – Rabat

We will meet you flight in Casablanca and travel on to Rabat where we will see the Hassan Tower and Oudaya Kasbah before retiring overnight in your riad.

Day 2: Rabat – Coastal roads – Asilah

We will spend some time in Rabat visiting the Mausoleum of Mohammed V and walking the Oudaya Kasbah before traveling on to Asilah by way of the coastal roads. There will be many opportunities to stop for photos or just enjoy the views. We will overnight two nights in an Asilah riad.

Day 3: Explore Asilah

We will explore the alleys in the medina of Asilah, visiting galleries and viewing the walls painted by famous artists from many countries. You will also visit the Skalla fort with fabulous views of the Mediterranean Sea. You will have free time to explore on your own and maybe find the perfect art piece for a souvenir..

Day 4: Asilah – Tanger – Rif Mountains – Chefchaouen

We travel to Chefchaouen with a stop in Tanger to see the cave of Hercules, the medina and Cap Spartel lighthouse which marks the entrance to the Strait if Gibraltar. After lunch, we will travel through the beautiful foothills of the Rif Mountains arriving in Chefchaouen for two nights.

Day 5: Explore Chefchaouen

We go exploring the Chefchaouen medina and alleys. You will see many European influences here in the very unique Blue City. Take the time to chat with the locals who love visitors to their beautiful city.

Day 6: Chefchaouen – Ouazzan – Volubilis – Fez

We are off to Fes by way of Ouazzane, a beautiful city in the Rif Mountains, traveling through the Lukus Valley. We then continue to Volubilis, a great example of Roman architecture and history in our country dating back to 225 BC. Here are beautiful examples of mosaics that survived the earthquake and the removal of stones. We arrive in Fes where you will spend two nights in the old medina.

Day 7: Explore Fez

Exploring Fes is a step back in time.  it is the cultural capital of Morocco, with many delights awaiting you.  We will visit the Royal Palace, the Mellah and the Jewish quarters. You will visit the tanneries, the Najjarine Fountain and University of Al-Karaouine.   We will leave the medina to visit a pottery factory where you can watch the artisans who make the stoneware, paint, chip the tiles for the mosaics for tables and fountains. If you are planning on purchasing some Moroccan blue and white pottery, this is the place to do so at a reasonable price. We leave the city to the old fort where you will have fabulous panoramic views of Fes with ample photo opportunities. We will then return you to your riad.

Day 8: Fez – Ifrane – Azrou – Meknes

We travel to Mekenes with stops in the cedar forests where you are likely to see and feed the Barbary apes.  Another stop is in Ifrane, the “Switzerland of Morocco”. We travel the Middle Atlas to Azrou, a Berber village, where we will have lunch before traveling on to Meknes where we will overnight.

Day 9: Explore Meknes

We explore Meknes which was once the capital of Morocco. We will visit the old Medina, the granary, Sahrij Souani basin, the Mausoleum and the gate of Bab Mansour. There will be free time to wander the square for food and entertainment before retiring to your riad for the night.

Day 10: Meknes – Casablanca airport

It is the end to our Northern Tour of Morocco. It is with sadness we take you to the airport in Casablanca and bid you farewell.
